Mercedes Benz Museum Review Stuttgart Germany
Mercedes Benz museum located at Stuttgart, Germany. The Mercedes-Benz Museum is the only museum in the world that can document in a single continuous timeline the more than 130 years of auto industry history from its very beginnings to the present day.

If you are a fans of car and around this area, don't forget to visit the museum. It will take about 2 hours or more if you are going to read every single piece of information.

They even have a Formula One car in the parking lot not only one but few!

I'm myself is not that really fan of cars but I do appreciate them, I believe even if you are not a fan but someone (perhaps your Husband) insisted you to go here just come a Long. The audio guide is great and the history along with the original document just amazed me.

You could spend hours! if you are going to read every single document and history, it will take hours.  Looking at those documents instead of pictures has a different impact certainly.
The audio guide (free for rent) is kind of extension from the written label if you want to deep dive into the information, it's children friendly as well (take a look at the last option on the device).

The Mercedes Benz museum has nine levels and covering a floor space of 16,500 square metres, the museum presents 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits. It's a very large museum!

It's all started from going up with this futuristic looking lift.

It's even more futuristic looking when we arrived at the ninth floor and yes that's a horse.

It's all started in 1886, the world’s first four-wheeled automobile. going through from the past to the future and seeing the evolution of the automobile was kind of fascinating.

it's amazing how human were able to transform from horse and cart to an auto machine, there were also able to transform from simple design to a complex design such as truck, firefighter, bus, etc.

on every floor, you can see the showcase, showing different type of automobile in that particular age.

I didn't know they produced bicycle as well.

On every floor, there's a resting place and a dock to take snapshot of the next floor. Going from top to bottom in a spiral was brilliant and apart from it's easier for the knee, it does convey the timeline of the history very well.

Those racing cars are beautiful, even those "old" Formula 1 cars somehow has kind of a mystical aura around them and I couldn't stopped looking at them.

you really need to prepare few hours if you want to maximize and read those history, honestly I enjoyed this place more compared to the Porsche museum. If I had to pick between those two, I would choose Mercedes Benz Museum.
let me end it here with my favorite car replica from the shop, I would love to have this but too bad the price is way too expensive.

auf wiedersehen Stuttgart :)

Gili Trawangan Lombok Review
I hope that this short review will give you an idea on what to look for inside in Gili Trawangan.

White sandy beach and crystal clear water that's my first impression of Gili Trawangan. from the international airport Lombok it takes about 2 hours journey by car and 15 minutes by boat to this little island.

I'm really impressed by the clear turquoises water, Gili Trawangan is the biggest island among the other two (you can visit them as well Gili Air and Gili Mano)

To be fair, even though I love the beach and water but the boats around the island kind of ruin the scenery which can't be helped since there are dozen of diving center and that's the main attraction.

there's a lot of diving center around as I mentioned so don't be afraid to go around before you selected one of them. There's quite number of diving sport around the three island, I would've tried it if it's not because we brought our little elf around. i'm telling you that bringing an infant to this island it's quite troublesome :)  and you will be limited with the entertainment selection.

My friend (he is a local from Lombok) recommended me to look for "Blue Marine Dive" center if I'm interested to go for a dive.

there're two types of package normally, public and private. Interesting entertainment includes fishing, snorkeling to see the sea turtle and water sports.

we went for private snorkeling trip with a glass bottom boat, cost 800K Rupiah for 6 people and gears, 3 hours, 2 islands inclusive the sea turtle spot. the sea turtle spot was amazing, I managed to see the sea turtles even touched them. Don't put your hope too high for the glass bottom boat, for ours: the glass was a dirty small box and we can't see much.

There's no car / motorcycle in this island, your main transport too bring your luggage would be a horse and carts. there's a certain hotel where they have their own dock so you can use the private boat directly to the hotel instead of arrive at the public terminal which you need to take the horse to go to the hotel.

instead of walking you can rent a bike or some hotel included this in their package. the whole island is connected by the main road, you can use the bicycle to go around the island in less than an hour.

If you like to jog, do it in the morning there's a less traffic on the road but watch out for those things that the horse throw on the street.

yeap the main road is pretty small and the sad thing is that the trash around the island.

you'll see a different landscape around the island, it's amazing considering how small the island is.

one thing that you need to be aware of: the main street somehow will end and you need to go through a small path which enough for one bicycle.  please take an extra care if you bring your children with you.

Don't forget to bring your running shoe, it will take about an hour but I promise you that you'll enjoy it.

In the morning (and afternoon too), you will see some local people parking their bicycle with a cart full of brown package. do try the food, it's rice with thin noodle, fermented bean and egg.

At night, you will not be dissapointed, the sea side converted to eating places. hotel opening their restaurant at the sea side with their BBQ menu. I would recommend you to go to the traditional market, it's near the public boat terminal.

you'll find a traditional food over here, most of the store offer the same thing. it will cost you 20K or about 2 USD to get rice + five add-on such as noodle and vege.

you can also choose some fresh fish, lobster, prawn and they will bbq it for you. Don't be afraid to bargain for the price.

the satay is a must to try, it will cost you 50k about 5 USD for 3 sticks, there's a tuna, prawn and some other fishes.  Don't forget to add the chili / peanut sauce.

Look for this store called "Terang Bulan" or translated as "Full moon" near the exit / entrance.

It's an Indonesian pancake with chocolate, cheese and peanut. you may customized the content as you like, if you are not sure get the chocolate, peanut and cheese.

Overall, Gili is a nice place to stay for two to three nights with great seafood at affordable price. if you've been to Bali before and thinking to go back to Bali, give Gili a try (there's a direct flight from Bali to lombok - less than an hour) you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset on the same island.  if you are staying on the sunrise hotel, you can just visit other hotel and buy their drink to enjoy the sunset view.

I'll visit Gili again when my little elf has grown up and climb up mt Rinjani on Lombok island.
